Huila - Transport Minister Unveils Housing Complex in Lubango

Lubango — A housing complex comprising 103 houses was inaugurated on Saturday in Lubango, southern Huila province, by the minister of transport, Augusto da Silva Tomás.

 
The project, built in two years, is part of the project of rehabilitation and modernization of Moçâmedes Railways (CFM) underway since 2005, through a public-private partnership developed with Lei-Jun-Ca Company of the Chinese Wyway group through a line of credit of that country.
 
The minister also inaugurated two adjoining buildings and the school of the first cycle Nº1359 that will host in 2016, about 1.800 students, and will work in three shifts.
 
Speaking to the journalists, Augusto Tomás said that the housing programme is very wide as it comprises more than 600 social residences along the railway line in the provinces of Namibe, Huíla and Cuando Cubango.
 
The event was witnessed by the provincial governor of Huíla, João Marcelino Tyipinge, as well as by traditional authorities, churches and invited guests.
 
The houses comprising the project are of two, three, four five and six bedrooms types.
